You were part of history in Sacramento, during the Arts Day of Giving, which raised over $511,000 for the arts! Your gift is already hard at work, making it possible for over 3,000 very special students in the I Can Do That! Artists-in-the-Schools program in Sacramento to work with professional artists, attend the Very Special Arts Festivals, and have their creations presented at Community Artshows and Performances throughout the year.

I Can Do That! Engages Children and Youth of All Abilities in Community Arts Programming for Education, Expression, and Connection.

Our Guiding Principles and Beliefs:
  • We respect people and focus on their abilities, rather than their disabilities.
  • We utilize the Arts to promote understanding and communication among all people.
  • The Arts in their many forms enhance an individual’s humanity.
  • The Arts are more than a product; they are a process.
  • Every person deserves access to appropriate learning experiences in the Arts.
  • All artists and Arts teachers in schools should be appropriately prepared to include students with disabilities in their instruction.
  • The Arts are a necessary and integral part of every person’s education.
  • All children, youth and adults should have complete access to community cultural facilities and activities.
  • All individuals who aspire to careers in the Arts should have the opportunity to develop skills.
